Cell Cycle

 The cell cycle is a fundamental process that all cells go through to divide and replicate. It is a complex series of stages that ensures the accurate duplication and distribution of a cell's genetic material to its daughter cells. The cell cycle can be broadly divided into two phases: interphase and the mitotic phase. Interphase:  is the longest part of the cell cycle, during which the cell grows and copies its DNA in preparation for division. Interphase itself is subdivided into three phases: G1 Phase (First Gap) : The cell grows in size, produces RNA, synthesizes proteins, and prepares the necessary components for DNA replication. S Phase (Synthesis) : The cell replicates its DNA, ensuring that each daughter cell will receive an exact copy of the genetic material.  G2 Phase (Second Gap) : The cell continues to grow and produces proteins necessary for mitosis.   Phases of Cell Cycle:   The cell cycle describes the life cycle of a eukaryotic cell as it performs its necessary functions and prepares for cell division, producing two new daughter cells. The cell cycle is split into   two phases : the  interphase  and the  mitotic phase. Phases of Cell Cycle Interphase Interphase is the longest portion of the cell cycle, where the cell performs its essential functions and prepares for division. Interphase is broken down into three sub-phases: first gap phase (G 1 ), synthesis phase (S phase), and second gap phase (G 2 ).
